Emergency First Aid at Work

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.

Through our training centre in Downham Market (Norfolk) we can offer clinical instruction through real-life experience with tutors having backgrounds as working Paramedics and Ambulance Crews within the NHS.

This a nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.

The course is run in accordance with the QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF), an optional certificate of completion can be ordered during the booking process.

Clinical Experience

All tutors hold current clinical experience as Paramedics, Nurses, Doctors through backgrounds within the NHS, Ambulance Service or Military.

Qualified Tutors/Assessors

Tutors, Assessors and IQA hold nationally recognised TAQA qualifications from levels 3 -5 with ongoing Continued Professional Development.

Quality Assurance is maintained through regular External Quality Assurance visits from nationally recognised awarding bodies.

Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training.

There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that learners have a minimum of level 1 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent.

This qualification is valid for 3 years, you must retake the qualification before your certificate expires.

Each learner will receive a course manual on arrival of the course.
